The X Subscription: Grok, Grok Bot and Cursor on One Plan

SpaceXSI now sells Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium as one plan with a shared usage pool. Here is what the 12/10/2026 launch means for UK teams and how to decide whether to switch.

SpaceXSI has folded its AI products into a single subscription, and that changes the maths for any UK team paying for Grok and Cursor separately.

What happened

On 12/10/2026 SpaceXSI introduced The X Subscription.

It brings Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium together in one plan.

It is open to new customers now and is rolling out globally over the following days.

There are five tiers.

Free costs nothing and gives daily access to Grok, a starter allowance for Cursor's coding agents and standard X.

Plus costs $8 a month, roughly £6 at current rates.

Premium costs $30 a month, roughly £23, and includes the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+.

SpaceXSI says those three used to cost $90 a month combined, roughly £68.

Super costs $100 a month, roughly £76, and Ultra costs $200 a month, roughly £151.

Those prices exclude VAT, so budget for the extra on top.

The biggest change is how usage works.

Every paid tier includes one pool of Grok model usage shared across the Grok apps, the Grok tab on X and Cursor.

Premium gives four times the Plus allowance, Super gives fifteen times and Ultra gives fifty times.

The allowance refreshes weekly, and you can buy top ups if you run out.

SpaceXSI says each tier includes at least twice the coding usage with its own models compared with the matching Cursor plan.

Third party models are still available in Cursor on Premium and above, but they are billed separately at API list prices.

Grok Bot, the latest Grok models, cloud agents and automations all start at Premium.

Team seats on Premium, Super and Ultra cost the same per seat as the individual plans.

SpaceXSI says that is cheaper per seat than older Cursor Teams plans with three times more coding usage.

Team plans add single sign on, admin controls, consolidated billing, usage analytics and SOC 2 compliance.

Enterprise customers can manage Grok and Cursor from one dashboard with a single usage pool.

Existing SuperGrok, Cursor and X Premium subscribers can keep their current plan or switch for a prorated refund when the option appears in billing settings.

Why it matters for UK businesses

Many small teams now pay for a chat assistant and a coding tool on separate invoices.

If both of those are Grok and Cursor, Premium could replace two or three subscriptions with one.

For a five person team that is one supplier, one admin console and one renewal date to manage.

The shared pool is the part to think about carefully.

A pool shared across chat, voice, images, Grok Bot and coding is flexible, but one heavy user or one long agent run can drain it for everyone else on that seat.

The weekly refresh softens this, because a single busy day should not wipe out a whole month.

The third party model point matters too.

If your developers rely on models from other providers inside Cursor, that usage now sits outside the included allowance and is charged at list price.

That can make the headline saving smaller than it looks, so check what your team actually uses before you move.

Governance gets simpler on paper.

SSO, usage analytics and SOC 2 compliance on team plans make it easier to answer the questions a client or insurer will ask about your AI tools.

How we see it at Adevious AI

We think this is a genuine simplification, not just a rebrand.

For teams already living in Grok and Cursor, Premium looks like the sensible default.

For teams that mostly use other models in Cursor, the case is weaker, and staying put may be cheaper.

We would not rush the switch, because nothing changes for existing subscribers unless they choose to move.

What to do this week

First, list every Grok, Cursor and X subscription your business pays for, including ones staff expensed themselves.

Second, pull a month of Cursor usage and note how much of it runs on third party models.

Third, compare that against the Premium allowance and the top up cost, using GBP figures that include VAT.

Fourth, pick one or two people to trial a Premium seat for a fortnight before moving the whole team.

Fifth, check the limited time switching offers in your billing settings, and note when they end.

Finally, only buy through the official SpaceXSI website, because the company says it does not authorise resellers.

Bottom line

The X Subscription bundles Grok, Grok Bot and Cursor into one shared pool for roughly the price of a single tool.

For UK teams already using both, it is worth a costed trial now, with a close eye on third party model spend.
