Adevious Ltd is the data controller for this website, enquiries, consultation bookings and our own business correspondence.
For client projects, Adevious Ltd may act as either data controller or data processor depending on the nature of the engagement and the contractual arrangements in place.
2. Personal data we collect
When you contact us or submit an enquiry, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Telephone number, if you choose to provide it
- Company name
- Your area of interest, such as training or software development
- Details of your enquiry and any subsequent correspondence or booking
Technical information collected automatically may include:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Requested page, request time and response status in hosting and security logs
- Security and administrator session information, where those functions are used
- Submission timing and abuse-prevention checks when you use the enquiry form
Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, confidential client documents or sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry. The form does not request these.
3. Lawful basis for processing
We process personal data under:
- Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR; Responding to your request for services and performing a contract with you
- Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR; Our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, managing business contacts, keeping the website working and preventing misuse
- Article 6(1)(c) UK GDPR; Meeting applicable legal obligations, such as retaining necessary accounting records
4. How we use personal data
We use personal data solely to:
- Respond to enquiries
- Provide requested services
- Manage client relationships
- Maintain internal business records
- Operate the website, investigate faults and prevent spam or unauthorised access
- Comply with legal, regulatory and insurance obligations
We do not sell personal data.
We do not use website enquiries to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Automated validation and abuse checks may reject an invalid submission; you can contact us directly if the form does not work for you.
5. Services that handle website data
We use the following services to operate this website and respond to enquiries. They receive the information needed for their role.
- Vercel: website hosting, content delivery and hosting security. It processes technical request information, including IP addresses and server logs, to deliver and protect the website.
- Neon: database hosting for website articles, administration and abuse-prevention records. This can include administrator account information and technical records used to limit misuse of public forms.
- Resend: email delivery for enquiry notifications. It processes the contact details and message you submit, recipient addresses and delivery information so that your enquiry reaches Adevious.
- Google Workspace and Google Calendar: business email and the consultation booking page linked from this site. Correspondence and bookings can include your name, email address, message and appointment details.
- Sentry: technical error monitoring to help identify and fix faults. Diagnostic reports include error details, the affected page, time, software version and browser or device information. Enquiry contents, passwords and authentication tokens are excluded from error reports. We do not use session replay to record your visit.
If you attend an online session through Microsoft Teams or contact us through WhatsApp, those services process the information needed for that interaction. Booking, social and product links open external services; their privacy notices apply to their own processing. They are not embedded trackers on these pages.
Replit, OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code are tools used in development or training. Visiting this website does not itself send your enquiry to those AI services. The handling of personal data in a client project or training session is agreed for that engagement, including any relevant provider and data-processing arrangements.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers or public authorities where necessary for legal obligations or a legal claim. We do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Our providers operate internationally, including in the UK, Europe and the United States. Choosing a UK hosting or database region does not mean that every support, security, email or content-delivery operation takes place only in the UK.
Where a transfer is restricted under UK data protection law, it must be covered by an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate safeguards, such as an International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, with any required assessment.
You can ask for information about the safeguards applicable to your personal data, including how to obtain a copy, by emailing support@adevious.co.uk.
7. Data retention
Website enquiry data is retained for:
- Up to two years from the date of enquiry
- Or the duration of any ongoing business relationship plus two years
We may retain limited records where required for legal, accounting, regulatory or insurance purposes. Technical logs, email-delivery records and error reports are retained for the period needed to investigate delivery problems, resolve faults and prevent abuse, subject to the provider's retention settings. Records linked to an unresolved incident or legal obligation may be kept longer. Backup copies expire through the relevant backup cycle. You can ask us about the retention that applies to your information.
8. Cookies
We do not add advertising cookies or behavioural analytics to these pages. Fonts and project images are served with the website rather than loaded from third-party font or image trackers.
Security and sign-in features may use necessary cookies. External booking and communication services have their own cookie notices.
Before adding any technology that requires consent, we will provide the relevant information and a way to accept or reject it. Where consent is used, you can withdraw it. We will update this policy when the website's data collection changes.
9. Data security
We implement technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature, scope and risk of processing. These include:
- Encrypted HTTPS connections
- Access controls
- Secure hosting infrastructure
- Role-based permissions where applicable
No system can guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, UK GDPR gives you rights to:
- Access your personal data
- Request rectification
- Request erasure
- Restrict processing
- Object to processing
- Request data portability
To exercise a right, email support@adevious.co.uk. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at www.ico.org.uk.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this website.
