Case study · Manufacturing
A production planning platform for a multi-machine manufacturer
Client: Confidential UK manufacturer
How Adevious built a full-stack production planning, MES and ERP platform for a confidential UK manufacturer, with a qualified five-year cost comparison.
The requirement
The requirement was to support a multi-machine manufacturing environment in one operational platform, from quote and estimating through production, completion and despatch.
The system needed to coordinate jobs, machines, people and documents while retaining sequence controls, permissions and audit history.
Verified capabilities
- Full job lifecycle from quote to completion and despatch
- Weighted machine allocation and multi-stage sequence checks
- Cost sheets, estimating, PDF exports and digital job packs
- Operator time tracking, machine servicing, notifications and analytics
- Role-based access, restricted logins, session controls and audit logging
- At original publication: 20+ related database tables and 100+ API endpoints
Outcome
The finished build behaved as a focused internal software product rather than a collection of disconnected forms.
The original published analysis estimated an equivalent external build at approximately £150,000–£200,000 and five years of support at £100,000–£200,000.
After allowing for internal development cost, the historic model projected a five-year saving of approximately £150,000–£250,000 against an external agency route. This is a modelled comparison, not an audited saving or guarantee.
